Information we collect
Pixie Studio does not collect personal data, customer photographs, rendered output, face data, device identifiers, analytics events, advertising data, or purchase history on developer-operated servers. The app has no account system and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
How photos are used
You choose photographs through Apple’s system photo picker. The selected images are copied into protected, temporary app storage so you can decorate them and recover an interrupted session. Originals in your Photos library are never modified.
A completed image is saved only when you request it. Temporary session copies are removed after successful completion or when you start over.
Face effects and automatic decoration
Optional effects use Apple Vision and Core Image on the device. Temporary facial landmarks and masks help render a visible effect or keep automatic decorations away from faces. Pixie Studio does not identify people, compare faces, create embeddings, or retain biometric templates. Landmark geometry is not stored.
In-app purchases
Optional purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Pixie Studio checks Apple-provided transaction entitlements to determine whether premium tools are unlocked. We do not receive or store your payment-card information.
Tracking and third parties
Pixie Studio does not track you across apps or websites and does not share information with data brokers, advertisers, or analytics providers. The app does not upload customer photographs or face information to any third party.
Local recovery storage
The app may read the modification date of recovery files stored in its own container to locate the most recent interrupted session. This file metadata remains on the device and is used only for app functionality.
Children’s privacy
Because Pixie Studio does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise device and App Store purchase access as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
If Pixie Studio’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the change is introduced in the public app. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
